The selected individual for this position will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the office. A receptionist acts as the first point of contact for visitors, which is an essential task. Thus, we are looking for someone responsible who can carry out duties competently and efficiently.

Responsibilities of a Receptionist

The following are the tasks that the selected individual needs to perform as a receptionist:

  • Greet and Welcome Visitors: The receptionist needs to greet and welcome visitors promptly. A friendly and warm welcome makes our visitors feel comfortable and sets the tone for their visit. A receptionist should be outgoing, personable, and respectful, and exhibit professionalism and a can-do attitude at all times.
  • Answer Telephone Calls: As a receptionist, the individual will have to answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls to the right personnel. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, be able to handle a high volume of calls, and identify the best personnel to transfer the call to. Being knowledgeable about company policies and procedures is an added advantage that helps to answer calls accurately and effectively.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Reception area: A reception area that is clean, organized, and tidy is essential.
