The Ghana Education Service’s management has released the revised Academic Calendar For SHS.
This means that the calendar will need to be adjusted so that SHS 3 students can attend class continuously from January 2023 to the end of the WASSCE in September 2023.
Colleges of Education have seen an increase in school enrollment as a result of the Free Senior High School program, which necessitated quick solutions. The academic calendar for 2023 ensures that teachers have time off.
Contact Hours for the Academic Calendar 2023
Form 3 students will attend school for 34 weeks, or 162 days, for a total of 1,360 contact hours.
Form 2 students will attend school for 33 weeks, or 166 days, with up to 1,320 contact hours.
Form 1 students will attend school for 27 weeks, or 137 days, with up to 1,080 contact hours.

Form 3 students will return to school on January 10, 2023, and will remain there until April 5, 2023.
