About European Forum Alpbach (EFA) Scholarships
The European Forum Alpbach (EFA) Scholarships provide a life-changing opportunity for hundreds of young talents worldwide. The event attracts students, young professionals, and changemakers who attend scientific, competence-based, and artistic seminars, as well as a high-level conference programme, social, and cultural activities in the village of Alpbach. The Forum Alpbach Network (FAN) and EFA together award approximately 400 scholarships. Alpbach is an inspiring place that inspires minds and souls for Europe’s future. It generates ideas and encourages action. The event is known as an outstanding opportunity for young minds to interact, discuss, build friendships and collaborations, and promote positive changes for the future. European Forum Alpbach (EFA) Scholarships provide a range of benefits, including:- Full coverage of the participation fee and accommodation costs for the entire duration of EFA23, which takes place from August 19th to September 2nd, 2023.
- A daily allowance of EUR 20 to help cover additional expenses.
- In some cases, certain Clubs within the Forum Alpbach Network may also offer reimbursement of travel costs and/or additional daily allowances to scholarship holders.
Requirements for European Forum Alpbach (EFA) Scholarships
If you’re interested in applying for the European Forum Alpbach Scholarships, please note the following eligibility criteria:- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 (up to 35 for African applicants).
- There are no restrictions based on nationality or field of study.
- Artists and non-graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Only those who have not previously received a scholarship from the European Forum Alpbach are eligible.
- The primary language of the forum is English.
- Applicants must be available to attend the entire 12-day duration of the European Forum Alpbach in 2023.
