Mandela Rhodes Postgraduate Scholarship Advantages
The following expenses are covered by the Scholarship for a Scholar:
- tuition and other costs determined by the organization
- a grant for study materials determined by the MRF
- meals and lodging expenses as determined by the MRF
- a medical assistance payment established by the MRF
- International Scholars are only eligible for economy-class travel reimbursement for trips from their home to their university at the start of their degree program and from their institution to their home at the end.
- Personal stipend.
Qualifications for the Mandela Rhodes Postgraduate Scholarship
- Citizens of all African nations are eligible to apply for the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship.
- The scholarship is intended for postgraduate studies at universities or higher institutions in South Africa.
- Honors (maximum one year), Masters (maximum two years), or their equivalents are fully funded (MBAs are not included).
- Any candidate who will be between the ages of 19 and 30 years at the time of taking up the Scholarship may apply
- By January 31st, 2021, applicants must have earned a first degree or its equivalent or be in the process of doing so.
- Candidates must have a history of academic success that is far above average.
Those who exhibit a devotion to the four ideals of education, reconciliation, leadership, and entrepreneurship in their behavior - Weekends are occasionally included in the MRF leadership development events. The Scholarship is subject to the requirement that attendance be made in person.
