Guidelines for BECE 2022 Graduates to Check their School Placement

The Ministry of Education wishes to inform parents, guardians, students, and the public that the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) for the 2021/2022 academic year into Senior High Schools (SHS)/Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutes, will go live on Wednesday, 15th February 2023.

Out of the 571,892 registered candidates, 555,353 have the necessary qualifications for placement. A total of 367,811 candidates have already been placed in their selected schools.

However, 187,542 qualified candidates will have to do a SELF-PLACEMENT selection from the available schools, as they could not be matched with any of their preferred schools.

How to Check the Placement Online

Follow the steps below to access placement;

1. 1. Visit the placement portal https://cssps.gov.gh/
   2. Provide your required data (Index Number) which should end with 22. The 22 represents the year in which you sat for the BECE.
   3. Input the eVoucher on your placement checker
   4. Enter the five(5) digit PIN on your placement checker
   5. Click submit and wait for the placement to load.
   6. Print out the placement and the enrollment form

Note: It is important to note that candidates can modify their self-placement school selections as many times as they desire until they finally enroll in a school. Additionally, all schools with available spaces have been added to the self-placement portal to provide candidates with a variety of schools to choose from.
