Since its foundation, the food process engineering department has sought to provide students with a comprehensive engineering education through its undergraduate and graduate programs so that they can use this knowledge to handle, process, store, package, sell, and distribute food.
Fundamentals in fields like engineering mathematics, process control and optimization, product and process development, and understanding of the chemical, biochemical, physical, and microbiological properties of food form the foundation for this application.
