The Université Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships have been designed to encourage international students to enroll in the University’s Master’s programmes, offered by its faculties, component-institutions, and associated universities. The scholarships aim to facilitate the admission process for highly-qualified international students who aspire to join the University. Applicants who plan to pursue an academic project through research up to the doctoral level are particularly encouraged to apply.

About Scholarship Université Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships

The Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships were created through the IDEX funding of the 3rd Programme Investissements d’Avenir, and will be granted to students based on their academic performance for the current academic year. The objective of these scholarships is to provide financial support to international students admitted to a Master’s programme offered by Université Paris-Saclay or any of its partner institutions.

Students enrolled in a Master’s programme at Université Paris-Saclay will be eligible for these scholarships for a period of 1 or 2 years, depending on their admission level (M1 or M2), and upon completion of the required number of credits to progress to the following year of study.

The Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships are offered by several partner institutions, which include AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay), INSTN-CEA, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), Université d’Evry-Val-d’Essonne (UEVE), Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay), and Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ).

These institutions have come together to provide international students with the opportunity to pursue their Master’s studies at Université Paris-Saclay and benefit from the world-class education and research facilities available at these institutions.

Scholarship Benefits

  • The Université Paris-Saclay scholarship provides a sum of 10,000€ annually to the recipient. The payment is disbursed by the University and covers the entire academic year for a period of ten months, starting from September and ending in June.
  • Additionally, based on the candidate’s country of origin, a maximum of 1,000€ may be granted to cover travel and visa expenses.
  • Upon arrival in France and enrolling in their admitted programme, the scholarship recipients will receive their scholarship and travel expense funds.

The scholarship is applicable to Master’s programmes across all disciplines offered by Université Paris-Saclay. The scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to study at Université Paris-Saclay in France or at other associated institutions abroad.

Requirement for Qualification

The Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships have specific eligibility criteria that must be met:

  • Candidates who have been admitted to a Master’s programme delivered by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, UVSQ, at the Université Paris-Saclay.
  • International students aged 30 or younger during the selection year who are newly arrived.
  • Foreign nationals who have been living in France for less than a year and are not currently enrolled in a training course or internship that leads to certification.
  • Candidates of foreign nationality living in France for less than a year who are taking language classes of type FFL.
  • Candidates who have previously lived in France as part of a mobility programme during their studies that did not lead to certification.

How to Apply

The process for applying to the Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships at Paris Saclay is straightforward. Selected students will be sent a link to an online application form via email.

  • Once they receive this email, they can complete the online application form and include the names of two references who will provide recommendations for the candidate. The references can be the director of studies, professor, or internship coordinator, and they will receive a link to an online recommendation form via email.
  • The references will be asked to complete and submit the form before the scholarship call closing date, and the candidate will be notified when each reference has submitted the form.
  • The application file for a scholarship will be considered complete when both recommendation forms have been submitted by the two references.
The application deadline for the Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships for master’s program is April 28th. The announcement for selected candidates to receive the scholarship will be made in June.
