The University of Ghana BSc Earth Sciences

By | 9 April 2023

Earth sciences are the study of the planet we call home. The program incorporates concepts and ideas from geology, geophysics, biology, chemistry, and physics.

The program examines the inner workings of the globe as well as its surface, the biological processes that create diversity and lead to extinction, the processes that shape the ocean and atmosphere and the climate, as well as challenges with resources, geohazards, and climate change.

Students may choose to follow a Palaeobiology stream within this degree program in addition to the extremely flexible General stream. This enables students to enroll in a variety of modules in departments where they are not often offered to other students.
