The School of Biological Sciences is an Excellence Center where teachers, support staff, and students collaborate freely and with respect for one another. The teachers are fantastic, friendly, and very helpful to the pupils.

As the University adopted the college style of governance in August 2014, the School of Biological Sciences was created. SBS is one of the colleges that make up the university’s College of Basic and Applied Sciences (CBAS).

Also, the School enrolls more international students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In terms of education and research, it collaborates with local and foreign universities and industry.

By providing contract research and consulting services aimed at addressing current challenges in the areas of conservation, pollution, environmental sustainability and climate change, nutrition, food processing and technology, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and natural products, we engage with industry stakeholders. Our partnerships with businesses give our students access to internship, national service, and employment possibilities.

We admit students based on merit, thus admission is extremely tough, but the application procedure is very fair. To learn more about our programs, please visit our website. You are also welcome to stop by the School of Biological Sciences whenever you’re in Accra or on the campus of the University of Ghana. Please get in touch with the Dean’s office if you have any additional questions.
