A team of undergraduate students from the University of Abuja can participate in the grant process, with a maximum of four members per team. However, it is essential that team members are registered students and not graduating during the 2021/2022 session.

The proposed research must focus on one or two thematic areas such as Economic Prosperity, Food Security, Educational Opportunity, Quality Health, Climate Change and Environmental Protection, or any other innovative solution to societal issues. The research should aim to tackle critical industrial challenges.

To apply for the grant, the team needs to fill and submit the Research Grant Expression of Interest form. If the team is shortlisted, they will have to present a research proposal, including a budget and research flowchart/time frame as attachments.

The team will defend their research proposal before the Consultative Committee. Successful proposals will be presented to the Vice-Chancellor and special guests during a Research Day event. Grant awards will be given to successful teams.

The awardees will then carry out the research or develop innovative projects, concepts, services, and products. The research findings will be presented at the next Research Day event.

To participate in this grant process, all completed Expression of Interest forms must be submitted to the Centre via email at [email protected] by the 28th of February 2023.
