How to Apply for the Fully Funded WARC Travel Grant Program

How to Apply for the Fully Funded WARC Travel Grant Program

To apply for the WARC Travel Grant Program, applicants must fulfill certain requirements.

  • A clear statement of purpose in the form of an abstract (50-80 words) and a project/research description (maximum 6 double-spaced pages) that outlines why travel is necessary (written in language understandable to non-specialist readers) is required.
  • A proposed budget and a comprehensive curriculum vitae detailing research and teaching experience, along with a photocopy of the applicant’s passport, must also be included in the application. All applications must be submitted in PDF format online.
  • Additionally, a letter of recommendation is required from all applicants.

If the applicant is attending a conference,

  • they must also include an abstract of the paper to be presented and a letter of acceptance from the conference.

If the applicant is visiting another institution,

  • they must include an invitation from the host institution.

If the purpose of travel is to consult archives or other materials,

  • the applicant must provide a description of the collections to be consulted and their significance to their research.

Lastly, graduate students must include a letter of recommendation from the professor overseeing their research.
