DRIVER REF NO: NSG 14/2023

SALARY: R151,884 per annum (Level 4) plus additional company benefits.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 10 qualification or equivalent.
  • Valid code eight driver’s license (manual transmission).
  • 7-12 months of relevant experience.
  • Professional driving permit (PrDP) would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle procedures, logbooks, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with basic motor vehicle functions and geographic knowledge.
  • Competencies in driving, organization, logistics, interpersonal skills, and basic MS Office Suite usage.
  • Problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Personal attributes: reliability, client-focused attitude, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, trustworthiness, confidentiality, and good grooming.

DUTIES

  • Safely transport passengers and deliver mail and documents to various destinations.
  • Transport NSG personnel to the airport and other locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip planning considering traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Manage internal and external mail and document distribution.
  • Perform routine maintenance and fueling of the assigned vehicle.
  • Conduct pre and post inspections, reporting any defects to the Transport Officer.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for official trips.
  • Maintain accurate mileage and repair records.
  • Assist with loading and unloading when required.
  • Provide photocopying, fax, and messenger services.
  • Assist with registry functions and filing of transport-related documents.
  • Preference will be given to candidates meeting employment equity requirements.
