JAMB suspends Kwara CBT center through the directives Prof. Is’haq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), for allegedly breaking registration regulations.

“As of yesterday (Sunday), 445,081 candidates had registered, and we expect about 1.8 million candidates to register,” he added.

Damdav is the name of the center, which is located in Ilorin’s Olorunsogo neighborhood.

Oloyede announced the suspension of the Ilorin registration center yesterday during an unscheduled visit to about six other registration centers in the Ilorin metropolis.

Other sites visited in Ilorin included the University of Ilorin mini campus, Kwara State College of Education, Al-Hikmah University, Metro, and JAMB centers.

“I discovered in one place that instead of buying enough cameras, the owner of the center bought only one,” he says.

Damdav CBT Centre is the name of the facility. And with the possibility of missing the photographs, we immediately suspended the center.

“Until those issues are resolved, the center will be unable to register or conduct exams.”

“We have not found a single case of extortion,” he added. That makes us very happy. Our goal is to instill trust in the system among candidates.”

That will boost their trust in the nation’s leaders as well.

“We won’t permit anyone to misdirect or corrupt the system’s purpose. Other centers are already aware that there is no sacred cow, in my opinion.

“Anyone who breaches our line will face the consequences in accordance with the law. We have treated them fairly.

We’ll keep the CBT centers’ operations profitable, but we won’t let them use the candidates as bargaining chips.

When asked if the registration deadline could be extended, Oloyede responded, “We have made half-way.

As you can see, some of our people will wait until the very last minute to register. Extension is not possible.

“We had planned to register 100,000 people every day, but we are only doing 60,000 right now. They are the ones who aren’t emerging.
