Since then, the award has been handed out every year by a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. The International Children’s Peace Prize is an initiative of Mark Dollart, Chairman and Founder of KidsRights.

The award recognizes the achievements of the winning youth. The award also provides the winner with a global platform to promote his ideals and enhance his work.
