OVERVIEW OF THE Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Programme 2023

Fellowship Programme

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, an initiative under the Fulbright exchange, is aimed at strengthening the leadership of international professionals. These professionals work together to tackle local and global challenges, fostering positive change for the benefit of all. The program provides a platform for professionals to engage in academic study and professional development in the United States, alongside their American counterparts. The program covers a range of critical fields, including law and human rights, public health, climate change, and public policy.

This initiative not only equips future leaders and policy makers with hands-on experience in U.S. higher education, society, culture, and professional organizations, but also creates a lasting network between the U.S. and participating countries, such as Ghana. Unlike typical Fulbright programs, the Humphrey Fellowship is designed for mid-career professionals looking to enhance their leadership skills and broaden their knowledge in their professional fields. The program aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and understanding on issues of mutual concern between the U.S. and participating countries.
