Fair Wages summons Labour Union heads to base pay negotiation meeting

The Fair Wages and Salary Commission (FWSC), the agency responsible for salary increase issues on behalf of the government, has scheduled and invited leaders of various civil service organizations and trade unions to a meeting in Accra for their third rule discussions. Pay for 2023 and beyond.

This meeting, which will be held in the capital, is the third in terms of salary increase negotiations between the Fair Wages and Salaries Committee and the leadership of workers in the public sector, after the failure of the first two meetings. The meeting is scheduled to take place on November 30, 2022, in the auditorium of the Ministry of Health.

The invitation was signed by the CEO of the Fair Wages and Salary Commission, Ing. Benjamin Arthur, notes that the agenda is a continuation of basic wage negotiations for 2023 and beyond.

As of now, both parties have offered different marginal percentages of increase and are hoping the other side will concede. This newly scheduled meeting will determine the next outcome.
