WAEC explains why 8,486 candidates could not access their results online

The examination body, West African Examinations Council (WAEC), has explained why 8,486 candidates who participated in the 2022 WASSCE could not access their results online on the WAEC website.

In a statement, WAEC explained that the Ghana Education Service (GES) Department has requested that certain candidates’ results be blocked online for failing to return teaching and learning resources.

Also, the results of candidates who destroyed school property while in school were censored on the WAEC website.

WAEC in a statement monitored by Tertiary Ghana says, “Following a request by the Ghana Education Service (GES), the results of 8,486 candidates who failed to return learning support materials provided to them and/or destroyed school property could not be accessed.” Internet on the Council’s website.

Meanwhile, the affected candidates are advised to visit their schools for their results.
