Harvard University is pleased to invite applications for the David E. Bell Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. These awards are open to students from all countries. They will follow a one- or two-year non-degree program in human resources and development. The winners will receive bonus benefits of $60,000/year.

Fellowship Description

The David E. Bell Postdoctoral Fellowship Program offers research and leadership training opportunities in a non-degree, two-year program for researchers and practitioners in the field of public and development.

Harvard Bell Fellows examine important issues in population and development studies from a multidisciplinary perspective. Most Fellows will have interests that align with HCPDS core areas. A variety of perspectives will enhance the experience of fellows and expand the community life of the Center.

Award Value

Recipients of Bell Postdoctoral Fellowships have access to a variety of resources provided by Harvard University and the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. Each fellow will be provided with shared office space at the Harvard Center for Public Research and Development in Harvard Square, Cambridge, in addition to library privileges, medical benefits, research and travel budgets, and a $60,000 stipend. US dollars per year (12-month contract).

Eligible candidates for the Bell Postdoctoral Fellowships Program must possess:

Both U.S. and international students are welcome to apply this Bell Postdoctoral Fellowships.

Application Procedure

The HCPDS postdoctoral fellowship application consists of two parts:

I) an online application form, which will ask the applicant to enter information and upload materials, and

II) three letters of recommendation.

In order for an application to be considered complete, both of these parts must be submitted by 12:00PM Eastern Time (EST) on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. All candidates need only complete one application and will automatically be considered for both the David E. Bell Postdoctoral Fellowships and the Mortimer Spiegelman Postdoctoral Fellowship in Demographic Studies.
