(i) Announcement for the registration of new candidates for the subject-based GTLE will be made soon.

(ii) There will be no extension of the registration deadline beyond April 25th, 2023.

(iii) Formal attire is required. No bathroom slippers allowed.

Important Reminder: The ongoing registration for the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 1 is specifically for re-sit candidates. In line with the GTLE reforms to be implemented this year, the Council has granted three chances to candidates associated with the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy, and Numeracy) to improve their performance. The first chance was utilized in the 2022 GTLE 2. This year, re-sit candidates have two chances available. The current registration for the 2023 GTLE 1 is one of the two chances. After these two chances, there will be no examination for the traditional subjects in 2024 and beyond. Candidates of the traditional GTLE who wish to retake the exam will need to begin afresh with the GTLE dispensation in 2024 and beyond.
