The School’s Exclusive Focus is on Training Certified Health Professionals
The School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) is dedicated to training certified health professionals. The institution currently has eight schools, each offering approximately 21 courses and three institutes. The programs offered at UHAS are designed to prepare students to compete at the highest levels on a national and global scale.
Overview of UHAS SONAM Courses
The UHAS School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM) comprises three departments, each offering four-year degree courses. The programs are available on a regular, sandwich, and top-up basis. The three departments are:
- Department of Nursing
- Department of Midwifery
- Department of Public Health Nursing

Admission into the UHAS SONAM is highly competitive, and the cutoff points for the various courses are:

UHAS SONAM Fees
UHAS fees must be paid annually by all students who enroll in the school and must be paid every year while they are enrolled. While attending the university, students may have additional costs in addition to tuition that extend beyond the cost of a full academic year, such as:
- Graduation Fees
- Printing of assignments
- Uniform and Lab Coat
- Care study and Research expenses
- NMC Licensure Registration fees and preparation
These additional costs may be required or optional and may be one-time, continuing, or incidental charges, and some expenses could be paid yearly. Unfortunately, if you fail to cover additional charges, your clinical experience can be restricted.
