The University of Cape Coast’s Institute of Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), will commence a 3-Semester Bachelor of Education (Post-Diploma in Basic Education) Programmes in the sandwich mode in the first semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
The programme aims to provide an opportunity for Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) holders to upgrade their qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree level.
Applicants can easily enrol onto their preferred programme by filling out an online form. No fee is required prior to the completion of the application form online. Only those who have successfully passed the Diploma in Basic Education Examinations are eligible to fill out the form. Applicants must indicate their programme of choice and study center in line with their elective subject areas.
Details regarding admission letters, school fees, and re-opening arrangements will be provided at a later time.

Study Centres
In selecting a study center, candidates for the Primary and JHS programmes should opt for centers that provide their respective elective subjects. However, candidates applying for the Early Childhood Education programme do not have this requirement.
- Candidates with hearing or visual impairments can choose the Presbyterian College of Education as their study center.
- The fees for the programme will include tuition, residential accommodation, and feeding.
