Fellowship Description
The Einstein Fellowship, sponsored by the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation, aims to assist exceptional thinkers who are willing to adopt interdisciplinary perspectives in addition to excelling in their area of expertise, following in the footsteps of Albert Einstein.
Upon completion of the fellowship, the recipient will be required to deliver a public lecture on their project at both the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation. Please note that the Einstein Fellowship is not designed for candidates who intend to finish a study they have already begun.

Living accommodations for a period of five to six months in the garden cottage located at Einstein’s former summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg.
A stipend of EUR 10,000 to support the fellow’s research and living expenses during the fellowship period. Reimbursement of travel expenses for the fellow’s travel to and from the fellowship location.
Academic Level and Fields of Study
The Einstein Fellowship is available for graduates in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.

The fellowship will take place at various academic institutions and universities in Potsdam and Berlin.
Requirements for Eligibility
The Einstein Fellowship is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be under 35 years of age and possess a university degree in the relevant fields.
- The proposed project must demonstrate the applicant’s excellent intellectual development, originality, and feasibility.
- It is not required that the applicant is working towards or has already attained a PhD. The proposed project may not be completed entirely during the fellowship period but could be the beginning of a more extended project.

- Candidates must submit a two-page project proposal, a CV, and two letters of recommendation to apply.
