Being stuck in Los Angeles, thousands of miles away, June ingeniously employs all the most cutting-edge technologies at her disposal to try to locate her mother before it’s too late. She soon finds herself falling into a twisted rabbit hole of secrets and falsehoods as a result of her digital research.
The film “MISSING,” which was directed by Will Merrick and Nick Johnson, captures the tech-driven society we live in by showing the different ways June must use technology (like WhatsApp and FaceTime) to save her mother.
The movie draws viewers in by immersing them in the narrative and posing the question of what technologies you would employ to save a member of your own family in the same situation.
