Overview of National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW)
The NAGGW Youth Volunteers program aims to increase advocacy and income-generating activities among women and youth in the Great Green Wall Frontline communities in 11 states: Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Bauchi, Gombe, and Adamawa. It seeks to tap into the vast potentials of youth energy in the region to develop and achieve nature-based solutions holistically and bring to fruition the Great Green Wall vision in Nigeria.
The program seeks to create a favorable networking space for youths in different states and communities to engage in awareness-raising, sensitization, and taking up different responsibilities towards implementing GGWI’s vision. It also aims to enhance coherence in showcasing the Agency’s activities and impact in frontline communities.
