As part of the 2022 Christmas festivities, Mr Bright K Lenwah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South Municipality, presented food items to patients at St Joseph Hospital and Nkwanta South Municipal Hospital.
Mr Lenwah stated that helping the less fortunate would put a smile on their faces and allow them to experience Christ’s birth through Christmas while also demonstrating their value in society.
Beneficiaries included those in health care facilities, as well as children and labour wards.
Mr Lenwah reminded the patients of the true meaning of the Christmas season, which is a time for love, sacrifice, and joy.
He urged individuals, groups, and corporations to help the less fortunate members of society.
The patients were overjoyed and thanked the MCE for their assistance.
Mr Lenwah was accompanied by Mr Larry Yaw, Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and some Assembly members.
Rev Sister Georgina Quayson, Administrator of St Joseph Hospital, praised the MCE and noted that it was the first of its kind.
