By | 23 March 2023

Tonight, Christian Astu mortal remains arrive in Ghana, and we’ll broadcast live news coverage of the brief event.

The government of Ghana has confirmed that the remains of the former Black Stars star Christian Atsu would arrive in Ghana today, February 19, 2023, following the sad confirmation that he died in the terrible Turkey-Syria Earthquake.

According to a press announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nation Integration, Ghana will receive the remains of our dearly departed Christian Atsu at 7:40 PM tonight.

The former Black Stars player’s family and Ghana’s ambassador will go to Turkey on a Turkish Airlines flight with the player’s mortal remains.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghanaian government would then receive his mortal remains when the jet lands at Kotoka International Airport.

Some Ghanaians have criticized the GFA and government for not dispatching a rescue team to assist in finding Atsu and for preferring to spend money on the dead rather than the live.

Many sympathies have been expressed following the tragic passing of the Black Stars winger, and all EPL games will observe a minute of silence prior to their games on February 18 and 19, 2023.

The Crime Check Foundation and other people who benefited from Christian Astu’s thoughtful act and assistance are now known to the public.

While still living, Astu committed his money and time to helping those who had been sentenced to prison for relatively minor charges or who were unable to pay court-ordered penalties, which forced them to lose valuable time in jail.

Several inmates in Ghana were released from prison because to his sponsorship of the Crime Check Foundation.

Awaken in peace. The late Christian Atsu, #RIPChristianAtsu
