After the terrible earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria two weeks ago, there had been days of active search.

Many people have sent their sympathies to the football player’s family and loved ones as tributes have poured in from near and far.

But because he made an impression on and off the field and gave assistance to people in need, his good deeds are still vivid in the memories of many.

1. A devout Christian who shared the gospel

In addition to all his good works, Atsu was a devout Christian who had great faith in God’s omnipotence. 

To strengthen the faith of his Christian fans, the former Newcastle United forward frequently shared Bible verses on his social media platforms.

2. Paid people’s fees, including Nigerian comic Craze Clown 

Atsu was adored because he was prepared to help others without bragging about it online or in any other public forum.

Popular Nigerian comedian Craze Clown reported that the footballer had paid all of his university expenses until his death was confirmed. He wasn’t alone either. Before his tragic passing, Atsu was actually covering many other people’s fees.

3. Purchased football shirts and boots for aspiring players.

Atsu always made sure to bring along uniforms, boots, and other supplies to support young football players whenever he travelled to Ghana for the off-season holidays.

All of his youth teams were in continuous communication with him, and he made care to assist them whenever he could. 

4. Aid in reintegrating former prisoners into society

In addition to collaborating with the Crime Check Foundation to pay the fines of minor offenders, Atsu played a significant role in the non-custodial sentencing measure.

They included people who were incarcerated for minor thefts and assisted in reintegrating the prisoners who had been let free.

Even more, the deceased winger gave some of them financial assistance so they could launch their own businesses.

5. A spokesperson for numerous organizations that support children

Atsu served as an ambassador for numerous organizations that support children. He provided funding for the Becky’s Foundation in Ghana, which helps orphans.

Before his passing, he had even begun to construct the orphanage’s school, which consists of nine classrooms, libraries, a pitch, and state-of-the-art libraries. Also, he served as an ambassador for the charity Arms Around the Child.
