SES Video Contest Benefits

The winner(s) of the video competition will:

1. The winner(s) of the video contest will receive fully funded participation in the Student Energy Summit 2023, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in November 2023.
2. Be invited to virtually participate in a panel discussion at the Youth Hub during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2023.
3. The winning videos will be shown at the 2023 IRENA Youth Forum, the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2023, and the Student Energy Summit 2023, as well as on social media.

Qualification Standards for SES Video Contest

• Open to participants from all over the world who are between the ages of 18 and 30.
• One video can be submitted by each person.
• The video must be in English, or it must have English subtitles if it was made in another language.
• The youth do not necessarily have to show their faces in the video because they are fully aware of cultural differences across the globe.
• Young people may not have access to cutting-edge video-making technologies, particularly those from low-income countries and those who live in areas where the digital divide is most pronounced. As a result, there is no requirement that the video be of a high standard or resolution.
• Submissions that feature violence, sexism, racism, or contain language or images that could be construed as insulting to any institutions, groups, or individuals will be disqualified.
• Submissions must follow civil discourse guidelines and be appropriate for a large global audience.

Application Procedure for the Student Energy Summit

You can enter the contest by tagging Student Energy Summit 2023 (@ses.2023 on Instagram and @ses2023 on Twitter) and uploading a video of no more than 60 seconds addressing the contest theme to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #SES2023VideoContest.
