Hospitals are healthcare facilities that must provide comfortable environments for the well-being of the patients they visit for treatment. However, this is not the case for some cities in Ghana as they go through many unpleasant challenges in their healthcare facilities.
One such place in the northern part of the country is the Kassena-Nankana Western District in the Upper East Region. The dire state of the health center in the area is sad and gives many people reason to believe that lives are in danger.
In a TV3 news post by Senyalah Castro Cazo, the disgusting state of the delivery room at the Kanania CHPS complex in the Kassena-Nankana West District in the Upper East Region was shown and citizens are still in shock.
The room that looks like a death trap has only a long wooden bench and a framed birthing bed. There is no proper ceiling or door in this delivery room.
This is a matter of great concern and requires an immediate response from the government to help people in the community.
