Requirement Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for Africa

If you are interested in the Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • You were born on or after 1 January 1978.
  • You are a national and resident of a Sub-Saharan African country.
  • You are currently employed by a university or equivalent higher education institution in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • You are preferably at the doctoral/postdoctoral or equivalent level.
  • You have obtained an acceptance letter or email from the tutor/partner who will supervise your work programme at the host institution. This document is essential.
  • You must use the Coimbra Group Office’s electronic application process.
  • You can apply for only one university. Multiple applications will be rejected.
  • You need to submit all information in English.
  • Women are encouraged to apply, and they will receive priority.
