COCOBOD regulator reports a 76% increase in Ghana’s 2022/23 cocoa arrivals by Dec. 15

According to the regulator COCOBOD, Ghana’s graded and sealed (G&S) cocoa arrivals reached 350,000 tonnes by Dec. 15 since the harvest began on Oct. 1.

This figure represents a 76% increase from the same period the previous season, when 199,000 tonnes were recorded.

G&S cocoa has undergone quality checks and has been sealed in bags by COCOBOD, making it ready to be shipped.

COCOBOD has forecast that cocoa production in Ghana will reach 750,000 tonnes this season.
