True Fast Initiative, a charitable organization, brought joy to over 1,500 children from three communities in Bawjiase at Awutu Topiase as part of their “Smile of the child” project.

The event was marked with delicious cooked rice, assorted soft drinks, biscuits, ice cream, and distribution of second-hand clothing, books, school bags, and stationery to the beneficiaries while good music and dancing added to the festive mood.

Additionally, the group presented fabric and other items to aged widows who take care of the children, interacted with them, and put smiles on their faces. Speaking to journalists, Nana Yaa Duano-Yalley, CEO of the organization, emphasized that the Yuletide season is a time of sharing, and True Fast Initiative, which was established 15 years ago, aims to impact the lives of vulnerable children and families.

She urged mothers and caregivers to prioritize investing their limited resources in the education of children for a better future instead of spending it on unproductive things.

Nana Kofi Busoompim I, Omankradu of Awutu Topiase No. 2, expressed gratitude to the organization for the sponsorship and prayed for better times in coming years while urging Ghanaians to avoid anti-social behavior and work together for the development of the area.
