Bishop Agyin-Asare Advises NDC Executives to Watch Their Conduct and Pronouncements in Public as They Express Gratitude to GOD.

During a thanksgiving service for the new National Executive members and Greater Accra Executive of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Perez Chapel International in Accra, Archbishop Charles Agyin-Asare, the Founder of the Perez Chapel International, offered words of advice to the new leadership. He cautioned them to be careful with their public statements and mindful of the potential consequences that may arise from their comments.

He also urged them to respect Ghanaian cultural values of decorum and circumspection.

The Archbishop reminded the NDC leaders that as the opposition party, they are the government in waiting. Therefore, the way they conduct themselves in public and their statements would reflect the type of government they aspire to be when entrusted with power.

As such, they should exercise restraint and prudence in their public conduct and speech.

Perez Chapel International played host to members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), including Mr. Johnson Aseidu Nketia, the National Chairman of the Party, who led the delegation to offer thanks to God for the successful congress held in late 2021.

During the thanksgiving service, Archbishop Charles Agyin-Asare advised the newly elected National Executive members of the NDC to be careful with their public pronouncements and to uphold the Ghanaian culture of decorum and circumspection. He added that their conduct and statements as an opposition party would reflect the kind of government they would be if entrusted with power.

The Archbishop expressed concern about the rising trend of monetization in Ghanaian politics and warned those in power not to use their positions to amass wealth for themselves and their families. He further stated that political parties should implement sound social and economic policies that would improve the living conditions of the people.

Mr. Aseidu Nketia thanked the Archbishop for his advice and explained that the NDC had elected executives at the branch, regional, and national levels for over a year. He said that before embarking on the restructuring exercise, they sought the face of God and prayed that He would see them through the elections.

Mr. Nketia said that the next phase of the election exercise involved the election of candidates for 276 constituencies and the flagbearer for the 2024 election, and the Party was yet to begin. He believed that thanking God was compelling and would shower them with more blessings to see them through the next phase of the exercise. He added that the NDC was stronger now than ever before.
