Bank of Industry Limited (BOI) is Nigeria’s foremost development financing institution, with a track record of excellence in delivering sustainable financial solutions. Established in 1964 as the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB) Limited, BOI was reconstructed in 2001 to better serve its clients. With an initial authorized share capital of 2 million (GBP), the bank took off in 1964. The International Finance Corporation and a group of domestic and foreign private investors held 75% of its equity, and its pioneer Chief Executive was appointed by the International Finance Corporation.
BOI Entrepreneurship Programme Qualification Requirements
Potential participants of the Bank of Industry (BOI) Entrepreneurship 2023/2024 Programme will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Must be 18 years or older and have entrepreneurial experience, which can be either starting up or operating an established business.
- The business idea should be scalable, solve a problem or meet a need.
- Must be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident.
- Should be available to commit to the training schedule.
- Youth and women will be given special consideration.
- Two letters of recommendation are required.
Certification Requirements: To be eligible to receive a certificate, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Attend a minimum of 80% of sessions in each course and score at least 60% in each course.
- Considered to have good character as defined in the training policy upon acceptance.
BOI Entrepreneurship Programme Interview date, Process and Venue
The BOI Entrepreneurship Programme’s orientation and business management classes will be conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays every week for a duration of three months. The schedule of the classes is as follows:
- Session 1: 10:00 am to 11:15 am
- Break: 11:15 am to 11:45 am
- Session 2: 11:45 am to 1:00 pm
- Lunch Break: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
- Session 3: 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm
The interview process for the BOI Entrepreneurship Programme will take place after the submission deadline. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be contacted for the interview via email or phone. The interview will be conducted to assess the suitability of candidates for the programme.
The venue for the BOI Entrepreneurship Programme will be communicated to selected candidates. The classes may be conducted online or in-person, depending on the prevailing situation at the time of the programme. Selected candidates will be provided with all necessary information regarding the venue and mode of the programme.
