This is to let the general public know that the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program is open to all interested applicants to apply for the online application.
Interested applicants should be aware of the proper requirements to apply for the online and ongoing program as expected.
All candidates who match the general eligibility requirements must adhere to the instructions in order to apply as expected. Applications were all closed on March 31, 2023.
General Eligibility for the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship
- Every citizen or legal resident of one of the 54 African nations is eligible to apply.
- The proposed company needs to be authorized to operate in Africa.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not be regarded as minors in their home countries.
- There is no restriction on the maximum age.
- Outstanding African businesspeople running established startups with significant growth potential and aspiring entrepreneurs with game-changing concepts are eligible to apply. All businesses must be in the early stages of development and be between 0 and 3 years old.
- Your application can only be about one type of company.
- They are especially interested in increasing the number of female entrepreneurs and those who understand French, Arabic, or Portuguese.
- Research institutes, faith-based organizations, trading firms that contribute value, government contractors, and enterprises with headquarters outside of Africa are not eligible for the program.
- Companies must not harm the environment, people’s lives, or property. Company concepts submitted for consideration must be profitable and innovative.
