Assist to control of Library and its resources

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Library Assistant at the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court in Mbombela. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging from R171,537 to R199,461 per annum.

To apply for this position, the selected candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement. The ideal candidate should hold a Matric Certificate and demonstrate a diverse set of skills and competencies, including excellent communication, report writing, research, organizational, and computer literacy skills. Additionally, creative and analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal relations, customer orientation, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this role.

As the Library Assistant, the appointed individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing the library and its resources. This will involve ordering materials approved by the library committee, classifying, cataloging, and indexing library material, updating loose-leaf publications, managing sub-libraries outside the court, arranging for binding, processing standing orders, delivering books to Judges’ Chambers, and compiling reports on library matters.
