All about St. Marys Girls Senior High School

St. Marys Girls Senior High School is an all-girls secondary school in Korle Gonno, Ghana’s Greater Accra Region.

The Catholic missionary sisters known as Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit founded St. Mary’s Senior High School on February 6, 1950. (SSPS).

The school began with ten girls and a staff of two (2) Reverend sisters, Jane and Rosette, who are now deceased.

Accra Academy, St. Mary’s Senior High School’s brother school, has an alliance with the school.

This collaboration aims to promote intellectual development among students from both institutions. Their collaboration entails the sharing of social gatherings and entertainment.

Schoool’s Achievements

  1. Winners of the Municipality’s Annual Presidential Debate in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
  2. Winners of the 2017 edition of the Library Project presentation for a forum of Heads of Girls SHS hosted by the Osei Kusi Foundation.
