St. Monica’s Senior High School is a girls’ secondary school in Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

The school’s history can be traced back to Rt Rev John Orfeur Aglionby, the Gold Coast Anglican Bishop whose missionary work gave birth to the Convent of Our Lady and Saint Monica.

The bishop invited the sisters of the Order of the Holy Paraclete (England) to establish a school for girl children in 1926.

St Monica’s Secondary School in Mampong was founded as a separate institution from the Teacher Training College in 1946.
