Will there be entrance exams for college 2022?

In fact, the Heads of Colleges of Education (CoE) of Ghana have been included in the meeting for the introduction of future entrance examinations but have not decided on the exact date or the academic year in which said professional practice will begin.

According to reliable sources, the decision to take entrance exams has not yet been paid.

At a meeting between the National Education Council (NTC) and the Ghana Basic Education Skills Test (GBEST), talks of the reform emerged, but its implementation has yet to be approved.

These entrance exams will be a standard measure of admission in the forty-six (46) colleges of education (CoE) of the country for the admission of qualified and required facilitators.

The need to take entrance exams has been reported by a high failure rate for all GTLE registrations. Students will be tasked with writing literacy and numeracy essays as a benchmark to gauge their interests and knowledge in teaching and professional will to join forces with current pillars to become great learners again.

In the long term, the NTC has sought to measure the quality of teachers directly from the admission stage before they are accepted into the Colleges of Education (CoE). Furthermore, to ensure that the pool of candidates they recognize has the will, passion and serious spirit to drive the country’s high literacy rate/target from the 21st century, many skills are required in the facilitators/teachers to teach the best students. .

Writing entrance exams will be the right step in making the chalk and speech fraternity engaging and fun to join. With entrance exams, checks will be placed on ‘sit’ exams, as opposed to potential cases where candidates can pay for certificates/scores that qualify them for admission to Colleges of Education (CoE).
