WAEC Update On Registration Of 2023 GBCE Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) would like to inform the general public that registration for candidates participating in the May/June 2023 General and Advanced Business Certificate Examinations (G/ABCE) is currently ongoing and will conclude on Thursday, 27th April 2023.

Registration Procedure

To register, prospective candidates are advised to follow the steps outlined below:

1. Visit the website www.waecgh.org.
2. On the homepage, select the link “ABCE” if you are registering for the Advanced Business Certificate Examination or the link “GBCE” if you are registering for the General Business Certificate Examination.
3. Click on “START REGISTRATION.”
4. For fresh registration, create a profile by providing the required data under the ‘Fresh Registration Section.’
5. Fill in your personal information.
6. Scan and upload your recent passport-sized photograph with a white background and your signature (signed in blue or black ink).
7. Select the Region and Centre where you prefer to write the examination.
8. Choose the subject(s) you intend to write.
9. Verify the correctness of your data and click “SUBMIT.”
10. If you need to make any amendments after submission, click “START REGISTRATION” and select the Existing Candidate’s Section. After making the necessary changes, click “SUBMIT.”
11. Print the registration invoice and take it to any of the designated Banks.
12. Make the required payment at the Bank.

Please note that your registration will only be considered valid upon full payment of the appropriate fee(s).

Additional Details about Registration

Eligibility: The General/Advanced Business Certificate Examinations, 2023 are open to both private individuals and students in approved institutions.

Examination Date: The GBCE will commence on Monday, 21st August 2023, and conclude on Monday, 18th September 2023. The ABCE will also commence on Monday, 21st August 2023, and conclude on Tuesday, 19th September 2023.
