Scholarship and Award opportunities at the University Canada West (UCW)

By | 21 February 2023

If you are a new student interested in enrolling in an undergraduate or graduate program at the University Canada West (UCW), you may be eligible for UCW Awards and Scholarships. These financial grants are aimed at helping students who require additional support. To apply, students must first register for a UCW program.

However, if you are currently enrolled at UCW and would like to apply for a continuing student award, you may also be eligible for grants and scholarships. It is essential to note that students are only eligible for one award or scholarship, regardless of whether it is a continuing student award or a regular award.

About Scholarship

The UCW Awards and Scholarships are available to new undergraduate or graduate students approved for admission to UCW. If eligible, a student can receive only ONE (1) entrance award, and they will receive the award with the highest value if eligible for multiple automatically awarded awards. Unfortunately, students enrolled in online programs are not eligible for these awards.

Furthermore, applicants with conditional offers cannot qualify for an award until they fulfill the conditions for full admission. Recipients of awards are expected to serve as UCW ambassadors and take part in outreach and alumni engagement initiatives.

It’s worth noting that all awards are disbursed as tuition credit, and courses like New Student Orientation (NSO), ENGL 080, and any repeat course attempts are not eligible courses for disbursal payments, even if taken within the disbursal period.

Entrance Awards Available

The UCW Entrance Awards program offers a wide variety of awards to new students who have been accepted to the university’s undergraduate or graduate programs. Among the awards are the Pathway To Knowledge Bursary, Scholarships for Academic Excellence, and the Americas Grant, which offers tuition assistance to students from the Americas.

Other awards include the Americas Tuition, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Regional Grant, the Canada 150 Tuition Concession for the Armed Forces, the European Grant, and the Middle East Regional Grant. These awards can be applied to tuition and other educational expenses and can make a significant difference in a student’s ability to pursue higher education.

Prospective students are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria for each award and apply for any that they qualify for. With a diverse range of awards available, there is likely an option that can help students achieve their academic goals and advance their careers.

Awards for Continuing Students
