Documents Needed for a Student Visa in the UK

Requirements for language proficiency to study in the UK

You must successfully complete a secure English language test in order to demonstrate that your spoken and written English satisfies British visa criteria (SELT). If you’re pursuing a degree or higher, you must have language ability at the level B2 of the CEFR.

With one notable exception: foreign students who have earned a degree equal to one from the UK may not be needed to provide confirmation of their English language ability.
