There are presently the several University of Twente scholarships available to students from both EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA nations. Applicants to the university’s graduate programs are eligible for these scholarships.
Only those who already have a scholarship offer from the university will be taken into consideration. Every two years, on the first of February and May, entries are accepted.
Excellent students applying to the University of Twente’s graduate program (MSc) in both EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA countries may be eligible for the University Twente Scholarship (UTS).
The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for outstanding non-EU/EEA students who are applying to the University of Twente’s graduate program (MSc).
- Become one of UT’s top-performing students.
- The only chance to participate in one of the three honors programs—Research honors, Design honors, or Change leaders—is in an intake.
Award Worth
For one year, the students receive anywhere from €3,000 to €22,000 in funding.
Qualifications and Conditions
- You need to fulfill all of the criteria listed below in order to be eligible for the University of Twente Scholarship.
- The process for applying for a UT scholarship is distinct from the one for enrolling in classes at the University of Twente. No matter how much money you have, you must first obtain an admissions letter.
- You have been accepted (provisionally) to one of the UT Master’s programs that will begin in the academic year 2023–2024. (September). Please be aware that it could take up to 8 weeks for you to hear back after submitting your application.
- A student ID is required.
- You have not completed an undergraduate program at UT;
- You meet the requirements to obtain a visa to enter the Netherlands (if applicable)
- You meet the prerequisite for the general English language test.
- IELTS Academic 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) and an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT of 20) on the speaking skills subscore
- You are not qualified to receive a Dutch study loan.
- A scholarship for top students is the University Twente Scholarship.
- This often indicates that you are in the top 5 to 10 percent of your class.
How to Apply for the University of Twente Scholarship
Prior to submitting an application for the University of Twente Scholarship:
- You must first apply to a Master’s program. After submitting an application for a Master’s program and receiving a letter of (conditional) acceptance, you can use your student ID to submit an application for the scholarship.
- Dutch and/or existing UT students cannot use UTS.
- Students from the EU or EEA cannot enroll in the UTS.
- For Master’s programs at the Faculty of Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation, the UTS is not offered (ITC).
- The pre-Masters program does not provide access to the UTS.
