Ras Mubarak warns that Akufo-Addo and National Security will be held responsible if Ablakwa is harmed

Former Kumbungu MP, Ras Mubarak, has sounded a warning to the government of Ghana, demanding the President and National Security to be held accountable for any harm that might come to North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Ras Mubarak disclosed that national security agents have been deployed to monitor Mr Ablakwa, and if anything untoward happens to the legislator, the President, the National Security Minister and IGP should be held personally responsible.

Mubarak’s comments follow the recent serving of a restraining order on Mr Ablakwa by the court, seeking to restrain him from making any further publications about Reverend Victor Kusi-Boateng, the Secretary of the National Cathedral Board.

In a viral video on social media, the MP was seen kicking away the court order that was served on him by a court official.

In response to the restraining order, the Minority in Parliament has condemned what they describe as the “naked and shameful abuse of the judiciary by certain undemocratic elements seeking to gag NDC Members of Parliament.”

The Minority accused the government of trying to stifle parliamentary scrutiny and pervert the course of justice, citing the recent attempt to serve a restraining order on Mr Ablakwa.

The Minority pledged its unwavering support for Mr Ablakwa in his investigations into Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, stating that they will not be intimidated by judicial abuse and fascist tactics.

The Minority expressed full confidence in Mr Ablakwa’s parliamentary oversight qualities and declared its determination to pursue all aspects of the National Cathedral project and related matters of conflict of interest, dual identity, diversions, procurement breaches and corruption during this 3rd Session of the 8th Parliament.

The Minority Group in Parliament stated that it will not disappoint God and the people of Ghana in its mission to uncover the truth about the scandal-plagued National Cathedral project.
