Update: Payment of Nurses Training Allowance 2024

By | 13 June 2023

A proposal was tabled to the ministry of health to move the payment of nurses training allowance from GHIPSS (e-zwich) platform to IPPD by controller and accountant general.

Am glad to announce that the minister has agreed to this proposal. This will ensure regular payment of allowances at the end of every month when salaries are paid.

2023 September allowance have been duly paid

Also, the ministry of health has indicated that they have so much money with GHIPSS to pay all arrears but they (GHIPSS) continue to have issues with e-zwich cards to reject payments.

To address the problems of payment of arrears, the ministry is ready to engage student leadership and school management towards ensuing that all arrears are paid.
Thanks.

As part of the 2016 campaign message of the NPP government, President Akufo-Addo and his administration had set to for fill his promise to trainees even in this COVID-19 times. The payment of the allowance is to reduce the burden of trainee teachers and nurses, especially the final years to have the sound mind to study as they are about to write their final papers.

We want to use this opportunity to let members understand that we are not in normal times as said by the President of the Republic of Ghana, COVID-19 is a respecter of no Religion, no Ethnicity, no Tribe, no Gender, and no Age, but one thing we are certain is that, if we are together if we help break the cycle, if we help stop the spread, we can defeat our common enemy because no one is safe until everybody is safe and GNMTA is committed to this fight and do admonish members to follow suit.

Fake NPP government. You guys think we are stupid. Ask the students and see almost 80% will not get even those who completed last year this government owed the 16 months arraers. Last week they told us they have but in our class only one person had it. Not knowing they are doing it randomly

but some students (level 3) still didn’t get the allowance without and reason given. Government have to look on such matter. even the first allowance received by the level 300 currently, those students were not given.
    Kpembe NMTC is an example
