How to Apply for Change of Course at OAU

This is how to apply for OAU change of course:

  1. Confirm your eligibility for transfer: Meet with your department advisor to determine if your current department is willing to release you and if the receiving department is accepting transfer students. Please note that the FNCS department is currently not granting transfers.
  2. Make a Remita payment of 7500 Naira for the change of course. You can seek assistance from us or visit Shekinah Cafe at SUB for this purpose.
  3. Download the change of course form from the computer center’s website. This form is required for your application.
  4. Ensure you meet the minimum and special entry requirements for the course/program you wish to transfer into. It is important to note that you cannot transfer to a program if your initial qualifications are inadequate.
  5. Fill out the form accurately: Complete Section A of the form yourself and have the Guidance Counsellor complete Section B (available on Print 2). Return the form to the Admissions Office along with a photocopy of the payment receipt obtained from the Cash Office.
  6. Attach the necessary documents: Include photocopies of your most recent sessional examination results with your application. If the sessional result is not immediately available, make arrangements to submit it to the Admissions Office once it becomes accessible. However, please note that processing of change of course applications is contingent upon the submission of original up-to-date semester examination results, as well as photocopies of your WASC, GCE ‘O,’ and ‘A’ Levels Certificates that were presented during your initial admission to the University.
  7. Obtain the required signatures: Seek the necessary signatures from the head of your current department and the head of the receiving department. This step ensures that your application is properly authorized.

Please follow these steps carefully to ensure a smooth and successful application process for the change of course at Obafemi Awolowo University.
