The Nightingale School of Nursing’s credit policy aims to make fee payments for parents and students as affordable as possible. Here are the details of the credit policy:
Maximum Credit Amount
Students can avail a credit amount of up to 30% of one semester’s fees, meaning that 70% of the semester’s fee must be paid before the semester begins.
Credit Terms: Students have a maximum of 60 days from the start of the semester to settle their outstanding bills. NSN offers two payment options: a. Early Payment: Students who make full payment before the school reopens will receive a 3.5% cash discount on their fees. b. Two Installment Payments: Students who choose to pay the outstanding balance in two installments will be granted a maximum credit period of 60 days from the beginning of the semester. However, they will incur a surcharge or 6% interest per semester on the amount due for the semester.
Penalty for Overdue Debts/Late Fee Payment
Students who fail to meet their payment deadlines will be subject to penalties for late payments. The penalties include: a) A late fee of Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢50.00) per week. b) Suspension of credit privileges. c) Withholding of examination results and transcripts, and the possibility of suspension from the school until all financial obligations are settled.
Fess Collection Procedures: The finance/accounts department will regularly communicate with students regarding their account status, following the accounts receivable management process, which includes:
Friendly reminders after 7 days of overdue payment.
Formal reminders after 14 days of overdue payment.
Demand notices after 30 days of overdue payment.
Signing onto the Installment Agreement: Students who cannot make full payment of fees on the invoice due date must enroll in the NSN standard Installment Agreement Plan.
Currencies and Exchange Rate: NSN currently accepts payments in either Ghana Cedis or US Dollars at the prevailing exchange rate.
