The Department of Land Economy (DoLE), established in 1965, is the preeminent and leading hub for teaching and research on the land economy in Ghana and the West African area.
Land Economy is a subject that studies the function and usage of the land, real estate, and the environment in the economy. It uses economics, law, and planning in particular to examine the governance of land use, metropolitan areas, and interactions with other environmental resources.
We provide a wide selection of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs that are all approved by the National Accreditation Board and the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS). We offer two four-year undergraduate programs, two one-year postgraduate programs, an instructional and research-based MSc, and a four-year PhD.
