Job Description

This job position involves implementing rewards strategies such as compensation, benefits, retirement, engagement, and other work experience programmes that are cost-effective and consistent with market trends and company objectives. It also requires advising on state employment regulations that impact benefits policies and suggesting appropriate measures. The job involves supporting the preparation of budgets and plans for all compensation-related activities, managing salary classification and compensation programs, and developing a consistent compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organizational objectives.

The role also involves reviewing all payroll-related inputs into the payroll system for accuracy and coordinating the processing, remittance, and reconciliation of all payroll-related statutory liabilities to ensure compliance with all payroll-related tax laws and regulations. Communicating all reward practices within the organization to employees is another key responsibility, as is preparing PAYE audit support data for external auditor use and being responsible for timely incentive payments.

In addition, this role involves supporting several projects such as job evaluations and re-grading and managing employee welfare schemes to encourage retention. It is important to comply with Quality Management System / Operational Health & System requirements, including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs. Finally, this role requires assisting in carrying out any other duties as requested by the Head of Department.

Minimum Requirements for the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC)
