In an interview with the media, the CEO of RITE Sports, Mr Yaw Sakyi Afari, thanked the committee and pledged to expand the event to other countries.

He said, “We consider this event to be highly successful, as all participating teams have given their best. It is not just about filling the auditorium’s 4000 seats; even if we have 2000 supporters attending a basketball event around this busy time of the year, it is a success.”

He further expressed his admiration for the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the participating countries and their teams, promising that next year’s event would be even more exceptional, with increased African teams from across the continent.

Looking to the future, Mr Afari shared that in two years, the African Basketball Festival would be hosted in Nigeria or South Africa after Ghana’s successful hosting.
